Mission peak has to be one of those most popular hikes in the San Francisco Bay area. The reason why this hike is so popular is because of the close proximity to large cities and great views. There is nothing technical about the hike, just follow the herd of people. Most city slickers will make this hike a whole day outing. I generally like to make sure I get the whole thing done in under 2.5 hours.
